Meet Helen! Deaf, blind and loved and honored by all the world!

Helen Keller lived an incredible life. As a young child, she suffered from an illness and lost both her sight and her hearing. To be deaf and blind would be such a difficult challenge for anyone to face, but Helen showed us that where there is will, determination, and compassion, nothing is impossible. Helen learned to read and speak, earned a bachelors degree and became a respected lecturer. She befriended many, fought for the rights of women and disabled people, and traveled the world spreading hope and inspiration. She received many honors while she was alive and after she passed away. She truly is an inspiration to us all!
